Smart Grandpa
Don Schmitz & Grandkidsandme

Grandpa Mark told me this story about his Grandson Tommy.  It took place at their cabin in Northern Minnesota.

Tommy and a few of the neighbors were preparing to go biking when they discovered the tires were flat after a winter of hibernation. Tommy told his friends to come over to his house because Grandpa Mark would help them with the bikes.

Off they went to see Grandpa Mark. Sure enough, Grandpa Mark pumped up all the tires, and then, since the kids had grown over the winter, he also adjusted the height of the seats.

Later, when the boys were riding their "fixed up" bicycles, one of the neighbor boys commented to Tommy that his Grandpa “sure was smart!” Tommy replied, "I don't know if he's smart, but he's been around the block a few times!"
