The Grandkidsandme Foundation
The Grandkidsandme Foundation helps build strong families through
intergenerational relationships.
The foundation was founded by Don Schmitz in 2000 and is a non-profit
501C3.
Grandkidsandme is very proud of our accomplishments over the years.
Some accomplishments include;

Providing 13 Grandparent Camps & 28 Grandkid Days to 100's
of grandparents and grandchildren

Authoring a book, "The New Face of Grandparenting"

Speaking to more than 80 businesses and organizations

Writing 100 free newsletters entitled, "The Gathering".

Grandkidsandme has gained the attention of twenty-four
magazines and newspapers

Helping 100's of families "Bringing Generations Together"
The
Grandkidsandme Foundation has a total volunteer board. Board
members are; Jenny Bidwell, Jerry Kind, Dorothy Michels, Kate
O'Keefe, Pat Ossell, Irma Wachtler, Jeanne Schmitz, Andrew
Altman, Tom Ossell, Connie Skillingstad & Richard Huber. Don
Schmitz is the Director.
He is also the author of a free monthly
electronic grandparent newsletter, "The

1. Grandkidsandme Grandparent
Camps
Grandparent Camps provide an
opportunity for grandparents to get together with their grandchildren.
Our camps are package programs already for you to go and enjoy your
grandchildren.
Camp activities include craft making, canoeing, hiking, music, dancing
or telling stories around the campfire. All Grandkidsandme Camps are
held on weekends and designed to work around busy
schedules.
This is the place where memories are made--powerful memories. It's a
time for discovery and sharing of values and heritage. Throughout the
weekend, professional staff assists campers in creating an unforgettable
events.
Our camps are held at Camp Icaghowan, near Amery Wisconsin, a short
drive from the cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. See
